I’m Anouk, the artist behind Petemoei and the creator of all the art pieces that you’ll see on this website.
Background
Coming from a traditional job in media (as a producer/pm), I finally had the courage in 2020 to step out of this stressful, commercial business and start something of my own: Petemoei. A safe space where I could be my true, creative, spiritual self!
Petemoei is an old Dutch term that roughly translates as “fairy godmother” and it embodies everything I hold dear: playfulness, spirituality, creativity and wonder!
Combining creativity & spirituality
What I love most about Petemoei, is that I can combine my creativity with my spiritual nature. Everything I create for Petemoei is done so intuitively. The creation process of the Custom Oracle Card never ceases to amaze me. Pure magic if you ask me! 😉
Some facts about me:
- I’m Dutch!
- I was born in 1985 and I’m a capricorn sun
, cancer moon and scorpio rising . - I’m an absolute tea fanatic and I particularly love anything earl grey.
- My favourite colour is a vivid sunflower yellow, leaning towards ochre.
- I also love gardening and spending time in my garden. My favourite plant is the butterfly bush!
- I’m married to the most amazing man in the world, Sander, who sadly passed away in the beginning of 2022. He encouraged and supported me with Petemoei every step of the way, for which I will be forever grateful. I miss him more than words can say.
